Frequently asked questions.
There are so many wedding photographers out there, how do you choose the right one?
With so many wedding photographers out there, finding the right one can feel overwhelming! But don’t worry—here are a few tips to help you find the perfect match: Do Your Homework!
Start by searching for wedding photographers who have experience at your venue or in your local area. Look through their portfolios—pay attention to their style and how they handle different lighting situations.
Does their work speak to you? Can you picture yourselves in their photos?
Next, check out their reviews to see what other couples loved about working with them. This can give you great insight into their professionalism, personality and overall experience.
Once you’ve found a few favourites, reach out! See how quickly and professionally they respond, then set up a call or meeting to chat about your wedding and see if they’re the perfect fit.
We’re getting married, but we’re camera-shy!
You’re not alone! A lot of couples feel a bit awkward in front of the camera - but that’s where I come in. My job is to make you feel comfortable, natural and totally yourself.
I’ll guide you with simple, natural prompts so you’re never left wondering what to do. And most of the time, you’ll be so caught up in enjoying the moment, you won’t even notice the camera!
Let’s create beautiful memories without the pressure - just you, your love and some amazing photos to look back on.
Can we meet before the wedding if we book you as our photographer?
Yes, absolutely! If our schedules allow, I’d love to meet up beforehand. Visiting your ceremony or reception venue can be especially helpful - we can do a walkthrough, talk about how I’ll capture the key moments and find the best spots for amazing photos on the big day!
Why do I need to sign a contract?
I prefer to call it an "agreement" rather than a contract, but it’s designed to protect both of us! It covers key details like copyright, model releases, guest photography guidelines and the final delivery of your photos, among other things. This way, everything is clear and agreed upon ahead of time, so you can relax and enjoy your day knowing your photography is taken care of.
Do you deliver every photo you take?
I’ll take lots of photos throughout your wedding day, including some duplicates, to ensure I have the best shots. This allows me to remove images where someone may have blinked, walked through the frame, or if the quality doesn’t meet my standards (even professional photographers have a few unintentional shots!).
I don’t provide these extra images, as they don’t add value to your final collection of memories.
How long will it take to edit the photos?
I begin editing your photos as soon as possible, depending on my workload. Typically, I complete wedding edits within six weeks, but often sooner.
During peak wedding season, it may take a little longer, but I'll make sure to keep you updated on the progress.
